Did you know that the Putrajaya Flower & Garden Festival 2011 or Floria 2011 is back again? We saw the last one in 2010, and this year, the new theme is Roses are Forever. So all you people who love love love roses should really pay a visit to this year’s fest. Starting from 9-17 July 2011, FLORIA will once again be held at the Waterfront, Precinct 2, Putrajaya.
MAIN ATTRACTIONS
i. The largest exhibition ever on display of roses in Malaysia in a park including a collection of more than 60 varieties and cultivars of roses.
ii. Showcasing 12.000 trees of various species of roses.
iii. Flower and garden exhibition contains more than 400,000 flowering plants of various colour.
iv. There are 15 parks and flower arrangements from the international participation of New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Hong Kong, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Pakistan, Kenya, Indonesia, Macao, Thailand, China and Singapore.
v. Photography contest and watercolor painting.
vi. There are 50 stalls selling landscaping products, horticulture and gardening concept “garden bazaar” will be established and more than 55 tents will be selling local arts and traditional crafts products. More than 40 stalls will be selling food and drinks.
That brings us to the Photography Contest! Calling all you photographers out there, this is the time to flex that muscle and bring out the lenses. What an array of colours from nature for you to capture on stills!
